Notes:

The note displayed above was issued in Sydney dated 1st April 1878 and signed by J H Potts and E R Halloren. The one at right is dated 1st April, 1876 and was signed by J H Potts and Geo B James while the example below is a specimen, marked as a pattern, and dated 27th May, 1867. Approximately 70 specimens of this note are believed to have survived.
The note at left, issued on 1st July, 1887 in Melbourne, shows the slight design variations of all notes issued in Victoria. Queen Victoria's portrait replaces the denomination in the top left corner.
