Notes:Garnham Blaxcell arrived in New South Wales as a free settler aboard the ship Buffalo in 1802. He became one of Governor King's closest associates, holding a number of high official positions. By 1910 he was one of the colony's most wealthy inhabitants with substantial commercial interests. He was one of the local merchants contracted by the authorities to build the Rum Hospital.A decline in his financial affairs forced him to leave New South Wales in 1817 aboard the Kangaroo. He died later that year in Batavia.
