Notes:

Red Serial, Macfarlane/Evans Five Dollar notes with the serial number prefix QE were not issued for circulation. They were included in 1,000 Note/Stamp Premium Portfolio Folders issued jointly by Note Printing Australia and Australia Post to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the introduction of Decimal Currency in Australia.

The first 1,000 notes released - from QE 000001 to QE 001000 were printed with red serial numbers and distributed in a 'Premium' Folder. A further 2,000 were released with black serial numbers.
