Notes:

In a continuation of the practice begun in 1994, Note Printing Australia issued notes with the early serial numbers for the year to the collector market in specially prepared folders.

The first 900 notes released - from AA 96 000101 to AA 96 001000 were printed with red serial numbers and distributed in a 'Premium' Folder.

The 1996 Fraser/Evans $5 Polymer note with Red serials was also included in 2 uncut sheet issues - 1,000 Blocks of 4 and a further 1,000 Pairs.
