Notes:

Continuing its annual release program, Note Printing Australia issued notes with the early serial numbers for the year to the collector market in specially prepared folders.

The second batch of notes - 4,000 notes with serial numbers from AA 97 001001 to AA 97 005000 were printed with black serial numbers and were distributed in a 'Deluxe' Folder.

While each 1997 $50 Deluxe Folder was released individually, collectors were given the opportunity to acquire one of each of the five 1997 deluxe collector folders - $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 - with matching serial numbers. The number of matching sets was limited to 4,000 - the number of each of the $100 and $50 Deluxe Folders issued.
