Notes:

The last issue two dollar note was first released in 1988, in a green folder, to mark the withdrawal of the note from circulation and its replacement with an aluminium bronze coin. The folder was resurrected three years later for specially overprinted issues at a total of six coin fairs between May, 1991 and August, 1994. Details of each release follow. A map of the state in which the issue occurred, printed on the folder, distinguishes each release:
