Notes:
The numbering wheels used on note printing machines had prefix digits and six numeral digits. To complete each series, a special hand press was used to imprint the seven digit numeral on the one millionth note. These notes have become collectors items with significant premiums - in excess of $500 for a note in fine condition to over $3,000 for uncirculated specimens. The practice was stopped in 1971, each series ending with the number 999999, a number which also sells at a hefty premium.
