Valuation : 1998 Macfarlane/Evans Ten Dollar Note - Red Serial Numbers
Notes:
Continuing its annual release program, Note Printing Australia issued notes with the early serial numbers for the year to the collector market in specially prepared folders.
The first 900 notes released - from AA 98 000101 to AA 98 001000 were printed with red serial numbers and distributed in a 5 note 'Premium' Folder.
3,000 notes with red serial numbers from AA98 & AB98 010001 to 011500 were released in 1,500 Currency Note portrait pairs.
A further 1,000 red serial $10 notes with numbers in the range AB98 000001 to AB98 001000 were issued by Note Printing Australia as part of a Premium $10 polymer note pair to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the issue of the first polymer note in Australia. These notes have a red overprint - 26 January 1998.
