This coin was not released individually. It was included in 2,003 2-Coin 50th Anniversary Sets commemorating Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the Throne of England and the Commonwealth.
The reverse design by Peter Soobik of Orange, NSW depicts a youthful portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing wattle in her tiara and the Southern Cross in her necklace pendant.
