Notes:

This coin was not released individually. It was included in 2,002 2-Coin 50th Anniversary Sets commemorating Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the Throne of England and the Commonwealth.

The solemn reverse design, created by Peter Soobik of Orange in N.S.W. and modelled by mint sculptor Vladimir Gottwald, depicts a ghosted profile of King George VI facing an image of the Queen. The Royal Crown appears between the two images representing the transfer of Sovereignty from the recently deceased King to the new Queen.
