Issued in September, 1998, this coin is the fifth in a 16 Coin Sydney 2000 Silver Proof Collection produced jointly by the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra and the Perth Mint.10,000 of the coins offered were included in a 3 coin mixed metal Olympic proof set and a further 3,000 were included in a 24-coin Olympic Millennium Collection. The coin was also included in an 8-Coin Olympics Cultural Collection.
