Notes:
 | This coin was struck as a special tribute to Sir Donald Bradman who gained international recognition for his cricketing prowess over a career spanning the mid 1920's to the late 1940's. The reverse design depicts Sir Donald in characteristic pose preparing to drive through the off-side.
The coin was issued, encapsulated and housed in a green leatherette, hinged lid presentation case protected within a beautifully presented cardboard box. |
A number of the coins were donated to the Bradman Foundation including number 1, number 999 (representing Bradman's test average of 99.94), number 452 (his highest first class cricket score) and number 334 (his highest test cricket score).
The uncirculated version of the 1996 Bradman Australian five dollars is a significantly smaller bi-metal coin.
