Notes:

This coin was struck as a special tribute to Sir Donald Bradman who gained international recognition for his cricketing prowess over a career spanning the mid 1920's to the late 1940's.

The coin was distributed on a sealed plastic card approximately the same size as a credit card and was not intended for circulation. Westpac Bank also distributed the coin with a special outer sleeve.

The proof version of the 1996 Bradman Australian five dollars is a significantly larger coin struck on an Aluminium Bronze blank.
