A-582 Obverse: AND in centre with rose, shamrock & thistle above and rose with 3 leaves below. DIE SINKER above and MEDALIST below (note mis-spelling of medallist), round within plain inner circle. J.C. THORNTHWAITE above and BOURKE STREET SURRY HILLS below, round within indented rim.
Reverse: Australian Arms with kangaroo to left and emu to right. SYDNEY NEW SOUTH WALES at sides and above, 1854 below, round within beaded rim.
A-583 Obverse: Medallist mis-spelt as MEDALL SIT.
