| A-106 | Obverse: S. DEEBLE DRAPER in 2 straight lines over a scrolled cross within a plain inner circle. LONDON HOUSE BOURKE ST : MELBOURNE : round between inner circle and beaded rim. Reverse: Stokes Australian Arms (A-12) - shield with kangaroo to left and emu to right as supporters. VICTORIA 1862 above inside beaded rim. T. STOKES. MAKER 100 COLLINS ST. EAST MELBOURNE in 2 lines of small letters below. Kangaroo's head is partly under the base of the T in VICTORIA and the centre top sunray points to the base of the second I in VICTORIA. ADVANCE AUSTRALIA on the scroll. |
