Known Varieties & Errors (References are to Andrews):

A-28 Obverse: An ornamental bar with BARRACLOUGH above and 100 BRIDGE ROAD in 3 straight lines below within an inner circle. BOOKSELLER & STATIONER * RICHMOND * round within beaded rim.
Reverse: Stokes Australian Arms (A-11) - shield with kangaroo to left and emu to right as supporters. VICTORIA 1862 above inside beaded rim. T. STOKES. MAKER 100 COLLINS ST. EAST MELBOURNE in 2 relatively high lines of small letters below. Kangaroo's head is level with top of the base of T in VICTORIA and the highest sunray points between the I and A.
A-29 Obverse: As for A-28.
Reverse: Stokes Australian Arms (A-10) - kangaroo's head is below the T in VICTORIA and the highest sunray points at the base of the I. The 2 lines of the makers name and address are lower.
