1995 End of World War II First Day Cover Coin & Stamp Pack

A total of 93,915 packs consisting of a specimen quality 1994 Weary Dunlop 50 cent coin and a 45 cent Weary Dunlop Postage Stamp were jointly issued by Australia Post and the Royal Australian Mint, Canberra on 20th April, 1995. A total of 93,915 packs were issued.
The pair are housed in a First Day Cover envelope which gives the 50 cent coin the illusion of being a war medal. The postage stamp has been affixed over a ribbon with the words EX PRISONERS OF WAR ASSn. and has been cancelled with a specially worded ink mark which reads 'First day of issue 20 April 1995 St. Kilda Road Victoria 3004'.
