The reverse design on this coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II on horseback during the Trooping the Colour ceremony held annually to mark her official birthday. A coloured image of the Union Jack flag is shown in the background. The outer design displays a ring of Foot Guards who are most often seen on duty outside Buckingham Palace. Each year, one of five regiments - Grenadiers, Coldstream Guards, Scots, Irish or Welsh Guards - displays its Colour in this ceremony.
![]() | Of the 57,500 mintage, 40,000 were issued individually and a further 2,500 were included in 4-coin 2002-03 Golden Jubilee sets. The individual coin is housed in a royal blue, flag-shaped, hinged-lid presentation case with the Union Jack printed in colour on the outside lid. A numbered certificate of authenticity is also included. |
| This coin, along with it's 2003 Golden Jubilee of Coronamtion counterpart have also been included in the British Royal Mint's 24-Coin Official Golden Jubilee Proof Crown Collection. 22 silver coins from other Commonwealth countries accompany the two Australian coins which are presented in a red leather case holding two trays. An illustrated booklet is included along with a story card on every coin and a certificate of authenticity and ownership. The issue was limited to 15,000 sets. | ![]() |
