The reverse design features the official badges of each of the six States and the Northern Territory.
In 2002, the Perth Mint released a series of six Classic Australian Pubs art pieces to follow on from the State Houses of Parliament series released in 2001.(Western Australia, Tasmania, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria). Limited to 100 of each, the 584mm x 457mm pieces are the work of popular Australian artist Rex Newell. In his words 'In many country towns, the most majestic building is often the old pub.' He has captured six of the best, bringing them to life through brilliant blends of light, texture and colour.
