![]() | Golden diamonds feature as the eyes of the dragon in this magnificent coin. This is the first Australian coin to have diamonds, or any other precious stones, included in the design. Another feature is that the border design of bats and clouds is pad-printed in the traditional colours used on the Chinese Emperor's robe. Long ago, it was Chinese law that only the Emperor could have a dragon on his robes and other possessions. The coin is housed, encapsulated, in a red velveteen, hinged-lid presentation case and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Of the 5,000 mintage limit, only 500 were reserved by the Perth Mint for sale to Australian collectors. |
