Usually available in a square, plastic capsule, the Perth Mint also made the 1999 one ounce Kookaburra on Fence $1 silver coin available in full colour packaging.

This coin was also included in 4 coin specimen bullion sets, in 1,000 1oz Silver Millennium 4-Coin Sets released by the Perth mint and in 1,000 unofficial 3 coin mixed metal bullion sets.

As a special memento to celebrate the birth of a child in the year 2,000, the coin was also made available in a special baby pack. The complete package serves as a free-standing display frame.
