Notes:

This coin was released to commemorate two major Chinese events. The 50th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China on 1 October; and the return of Macau to China on 20 December.

The double privy mark features the flag of the People's Republic of China, and the symbol for Macau, both presented in colour on a pure gold insert. The host coin is a one kilo, 1999 dated uncirculated Year of the Rabbit silver coin.

The majority of the mintage was for the international community, with only 300 reserved for Australian collectors via a ballot to Perth Mint mail customers. Each coin is presented in a green velveteen case and accompanied by a serial numbered certificate of authenticity.
