The 2003 quarter ounce two kangaroos $25 gold coin was released encapsulated, mounted on a golden marri timber presentation block and accompanied by a numbered certificate. The coin was also included in 500 5 coin gold proof sets released by the Perth mint.

In 2003, a flagpole which had stood above the Perth Mint building since 1901 was withdrawn from service. The oregon timber of the square base was meticulously sliced into 130 sections which were used as presentation blocks for Flagpole Edition Sovereign sets which contained a proof quarter ounce gold coin, a 1901 P sovereign and a gold-plated silver medallion.
