In early 2002, the Perth Mint commissioned Australian artist, Elizabeth Mavrick, to create a limited edition 'Golden Prosperity' dichroic glass art piece as a display medium for the Lunar Quarter Ounce gold proof coin. Each art piece , limited to 100 in total, incorporates a choice of one of the seven proof quarter ounce coins in the Perth Mint's Lunar Coin Series between 1996 and 2002 - the Mouse, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake or Horse.

The artist's initials, an individual serial number and the Perth mint logo are finely engraved on each piece. A dark grey presentation case with plush satin cushioning houses each piece which is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
